San Francisco: Day 4

Our last day in San Francisco was a Sunday and we decided to take a little half-day trip to the Muir Woods and Sausalito.  The tour picked us up from our hotel and we drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and up the windy roads to the national park.  We got to spend a little over an hour in the park and it was beautiful!  It is hard to take a picture to capture how big these trees really are!  It was a very sunny day outside, but there was always plenty of shade because the trees are so tall.  It was also nice to get out of the city and to breathe some fresh air.

Next, we took the bus to the little town of Sausalito.  We found a really good ice cream shop there and got some ice cream and walked around the town.  There was this guy out on the rocks by the bay that would stack the rocks on top of each other... it was pretty amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed by chocolate peanut butter ice cream!!
And you can see San Francisco right across the bay!

After we got back to San Francisco we jumped on a short trolley ride to find a good place to eat.  We went to a great little pizza place... the pizza was sooo good!  We had the perfect Sunday and it was a great way to end our trip to San Francisco!
