First Home Game of the Season

Even though we got destroyed in the game against Florida State, we had a great time. We had 5th row seats for the game and we cheered on the Cougs!

Wedding Pictures Are Coming...

Just so you know, we are waiting for the cd of all the wedding pictures from the photographer. So as soon as we get it, we will load some up on the blog for you all to see.

The Happiest Place on Earth... Disneyland!

Robbie's dad got us tickets to Disneyland while we were down in California. We had so much fun and we timed everything perfectly so we were able to ride all the rides we wanted to both at California Adventure and Disneyland. And we had time to spare so we rode a couple of our favorites twice!

A little stroll down memory lane for Robbie... he used to work at Ariel's Grotto and so he took me on a little tour.

Camping in San Clemente

We went beach camping for a week down in San Clemente, California with the family. It was so fun to go to the beach during the day, and then shower (yes, there were showers!) at night and sit by the fire and roast marshmallows!

Robbie being a rebel standing by the railroad tracks... yes, a train did come.

The Open House

The Open House in California turned out beautiful! We decorated the courtyard of the church - Greg got the machine to string the lights around the trees and everyone helped out trimming the trees and hanging the lights. We had lots of great people from the ward help out with the flowers, food, tablecloths, and everything else! It was a great night!!

Maybe someday Tyler...

The clean-up crew after the party! Thanks to everyone that helped!

The LA Flower Market

In California, we went to the LA Flower Market to get flowers for the Open House. It was crazy to see all the different flowers they had and it smelled so good!

Here is the car after the flower market... and there was still another cart load on the way!!

Hollywood!

When the honeymoon was all over, we flew into California for the Open House. We had a couple days before to have some fun, so we went to Hollywood and saw all the crazy people there!

Travis took us to a really yummy ice cream place called Diddy Reese. It was quite the drive and adventure to get there... but all worth it in the end!

Chichen Itza

We took an LDS tour with Helaman on our second day of the trip to Cancun. It was amazing! He picked us up from our hotel in the morning and then we picked up another couple. We drove to Chichen Itza and talked about the lifestyle of the people of Mexico, like how some only make $4 a day and they have no tv or internet. At Chichen Itza, Helaman took us through the ruins and explained them through the Book of Mormon point-of-view. It was so interesting and a real testimony builder! After Chichen Itza, we went to a Mexican buffet and then swam in a cenote (a sinkhole full of water). It was very cold and had lots of fish swimming around, but it was nice to get a break from the heat. We had a great day!

Viva a la Cancun!

The day after the wedding we were off to Cancun, Mexico for the honeymoon. We stayed at the Excellence Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort and oh was it excellent! The service there was awesome and the food was amazing! We kept eating and eating until we were sick. But it was all worth it!

This is the view from our hotel room...We went sailing one afternoon on the beach by our hotel. The guide took us out for about 10 minutes and taught us how we were supposed to steer and turn around. And then he let us loose for 30 minutes! It was fun!

The Big Day!

We never thought it would come, but it did! The big day was on July 21, 2009. We were sealed at 10:20 AM by Grandpa Hall and we had lots of family there to celebrate with us. After the sealing, we had a luncheon at The Chantilly Mansion in Layton, and later that evening we had our reception there, too. It was a great day, and to top it off we got to ride in a sweet limo!
