Well, now we are excited to announce the next chapter of our life... adding a baby to the mix! We are expecting Baby Irwin on October 7th... which makes me 12 weeks today! I have had the "pleasure" of dealing with morning sickness and extreme exhaustion over the past few weeks, but I am happy to report that I am finally getting over it! I made dinner today, by myself, and I was so proud of myself! I can still get a little queasy over certain types of food, but I feel so much better than I did before. Bring on the second trimester!
We had our second doctor's appointment this last Thursday and we were able to see our baby on the ultrasound kicking around, touching its toes, waving its arms... it was so adorable! I am already in love with this little child of ours!! The baby is measuring a few days ahead of schedule... keep growing baby! I was amazed to see how much our baby had grown from week 7.5 to week 11.5... here are some pictures. The 7.5 week picture just looks like a little blob! And then the 11.5 week picture actually looks like a baby! With little arms, legs, fingers, toes!
I haven't started showing yet... but there was one day that I suddenly had a little belly! I got so excited about it that I took a picture... and I'm glad I did because it went away the next day. I never thought I would be so excited to gain weight and have my stomach rolling over my pants, but I am now! I'm sure that will change over the next few months, but for right now it is fun!
Here's the bump that came and went... and I'm sure it will be back soon!
As for Rob, he is doing really well! He has been working really long and hard hours lately, but he always makes sure I am doing okay and I really appreciate that. He has been dealing with some "symptoms" lately (tiredness) and while I'm pretty sure it is just because he is working a lot, I like to remind him that it is just pregnancy sympathy. :)
Well, that's our big news! I'm going to be better about updating this blog, mostly because we will have some fun and exciting things to post about in the upcoming months! I'll keep you updated.
